Andy's Glass & Window Company is seeking an experienced Residential & Commercial Glazier to join our growing team. Position Summary
As an Experienced Glazier, you will install a variety of glass products including storefront systems, glass replacement, shower enclosures, mirrors, windows, doors, and commercial glazing systems while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install residential and commercial glass
- Install storefront systems, doors, and glazing
- Install shower enclosures, mirrors, and custom glass
- Perform insulated glass replacements and glass repairs
- Set heavy glass safely and efficiently
- Read work orders, blueprints, and shop drawings
- Troubleshoot installation challenges in the field
- Ensure jobs are completed with exceptional quality
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and project managers
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Follow all company safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of glazing experience
- Experience with both residential and commercial installations
- Knowledge of storefront systems, heavy glass, mirrors, shower enclosures, and glass replacement
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to safely lift 75+ pounds
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- Storefront and commercial glazing
- Curtain wall systems
- Door hardware and glass door installation
- Window installation
- Custom shower enclosures
- Heavy glass systems
- Equipment operation (glass cups, lifts, and setting equipment)
