Gaia K-Beauty is looking for a creative and social-media-savvy Freelance Social Media Content Creator to help us produce consistent, engaging content for our Korean skincare brand.
This is a flexible, ongoing contract opportunity focused primarily on creating short-form social media content for Instagram and TikTok. You will create, edit, and submit content to Gaia K-Beauty for review and approval. You will not be responsible for publishing content or managing Gaia's social media accounts.
We are looking for someone who enjoys skincare and beauty, understands current social media trends, and has a strong eye for clean, visually appealing content.
What You'll Do
- Create approximately 3 short-form videos per week for Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Film and edit skincare content including product demonstrations, routines, product highlights, educational content, trends, and lifestyle-style videos
- Create visually appealing product B-roll and occasional product/lifestyle photography
- Research current TikTok, Instagram, skincare, beauty, and K-Beauty trends
- Develop creative video concepts, hooks, and content ideas
- Write suggested captions, on-screen text, and/or video copy when appropriate
- Submit completed content to Gaia K-Beauty for review and approval before publication
- Make reasonable revisions based on feedback
- Maintain Gaia K-Beauty's clean, approachable, premium visual style while bringing your own creativity to the content
- Occasionally pick up or exchange products locally as needed
What We're Looking For
- Experience creating TikTok, Instagram Reels, or other short-form video content
- A strong eye for visual storytelling and social media aesthetics
- Comfortable filming and editing content independently
- Interest in skincare, beauty, Asian beauty, or K-Beauty strongly preferred
- Familiarity with editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar software
- Understanding of current TikTok and Instagram content trends
- Ability to follow general brand direction while developing your own creative concepts
- Reliable and able to meet agreed-upon content deadlines
- Able to work independently and manage your own production schedule
Portfolio Requirement
Please submit 2–3 examples of short-form videos you have created with your application.
Beauty, skincare, lifestyle, or product-content examples are preferred, but not required if your portfolio demonstrates strong filming, editing, and creative skills.
You may also include your TikTok, Instagram, portfolio, or other relevant social media accounts.
Role Details
- Job Type: Freelance / Contract
- Compensation: $17–$25 per hour, depending on experience and portfolio
- Estimated Workload: Up to approximately 10 hours per week
- Primary Deliverable: Approximately 3 completed short-form videos per week
- Schedule: Flexible; creator manages their own working hours and production process while meeting agreed-upon deadlines
- Location: Primarily remote, but applicants should be located in or near Murrieta/Temecula, California for occasional product pickup, exchanges, or local content needs
- Equipment: Creator should generally have their own phone/camera and editing tools
- Social Media Access: Not required. Completed content will be submitted to Gaia K-Beauty for approval, and Gaia will handle publishing.
