Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate advanced computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise in radiologic imaging, radiation safety procedures, and patient care will ensure high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Duties

Operate CT scanners and related radiologic imaging equipment to capture high-resolution images for diagnostic evaluation.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and applying proper aseptic techniques.
Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging procedures.
Assist with specialized imaging modalities such as PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, interventional radiography, and sonography as needed.
Collaborate with emergency room staff and participate in urgent care scenarios, including Level I and Level II trauma center cases.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records.
Ensure all medical imaging procedures meet quality standards and comply with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with specialized training in CT imaging.
Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment in emergency room settings or trauma centers preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
Hands-on experience with advanced imaging techniques such as PET scans, interventional radiology procedures, mammography, DEXA scans, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine is highly desirable.
Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols during all imaging processes.
Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in high-pressure situations.
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments including urgent care units and Level I trauma centers.
Knowledge of medical equipment operation including X-ray machines and other diagnostic radiology tools.
