Inventory Control Clerk / Warehouse Support
Full-Time | San Clemente, CA | Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | $21.00-$23.00/hour

R&R Industries, Inc., located in San Clemente, California, is an apparel manufacturer specializing in high-visibility clothing. We serve customers in industries such as construction, airlines, and landscaping and decorate their logos on-site.
Position Overview
The Inventory Control Clerk helps keep warehouse inventory accurate, replenished, organized, and accessible. This hands-on role assists with planning and unloading incoming container shipments, placing and replenishing product, completing cycle counts, updating inventory locations, and supporting order picking and receiving as business needs shift.
The position requires someone who can evaluate the next priority, move work forward with limited supervision, communicate obstacles early, and consistently close the loop on assigned tasks. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with no supervisory responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively replenish low-inventory bays and keep primary picking locations stocked and organized
- Maintain consistent carton stacking and clear style, size, and quantity visibility for warehouse staff
- Maintain one open box of an item for picking at a time and support first-in, first-out use of older purchase orders
- Work closely with Inventory Control Analyst to update and maintain inventory locations in the database and keep accurate product counts for inventory stored in containers
- Follow warehouse, forklift, pallet-rack, overhead-storage, fire-spacing, and safety-net requirements as trained
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse, container, exterior, recycling, and work areas; promptly report hazards or safety concerns.
- Pre-plan incoming import shipments with the Inventory Planner and Plant Manager, including unloading needs, storage locations, and available space.
- Communicate inventory-space constraints and other important pre-planning issues as soon as they are identified.
- Unload and organize cartons, confirm physical carton quantities against packing lists, and place product in designated pallet locations.
- Restock inventory into pre-planned warehouse locations accurately and as quickly as possible.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and provide updated information to the Inventory Planner and Plant Manager.
- Pick sales orders according to established procedures, including product stored on upper warehouse levels, as workload requires.
- Stage orders and accurately update applicable order-status codes.
- Assist with vendor deliveries and verify that the correct items and quantities were received.
- Return customer-returned garments and miscellaneous pieces to their proper inventory locations.
- Replace damaged cartons, maintain consistent stacking, and assist other warehouse areas as business needs change.
Qualifications and Capabilities
- High school diploma or GED, related warehouse training or experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, adaptability, organization, problem-solving, and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to management direction and changing team priorities.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Ability to perform basic warehouse math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with inventory, order-processing, Excel, or word-processing systems is preferred. Training on company systems will be provided.
- Warehouse, inventory control, receiving, replenishment, container unloading, forklift, or order-picking experience is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Regularly stand, reach, climb or balance, communicate, and work on your feet throughout the shift; frequently walk, handle materials, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Consistently handle loads of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to distinguish colors and safely work around moving mechanical equipment, pallet racks, elevated storage locations, and occasional outdoor conditions.

Compensation and Schedule
- $21.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
- Full-time, non-exempt position: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
- Overtime is required during peak seasons.
