CNC Mill Operator

Philips Machining is a successful company with over 37 years experience in primarily serving the automotive,food and beverage, oil and gas, office furniture, medical, defense, aerospace, and automation markets. Our privately held company, built upon Christian principles, currently employs approximately 15 team members in 2 buildings located on 6 acres. We are a fully air-conditioned facility with work and office spaces. This position is responsible for the setup/operation of machines to produce parts which includes one piece components, one time run parts, low volume production, as well as higher volume production. Responsibilities: * Must have experience operating CNC Vertical Mill Centers according to blueprints, specifications ,manufacturing orders, and work instructions. Must be able to program in Mastercam.
- Work with safe production practices
- Ability to use hand tools
- .Mastercam programing necessary.
- Operate machines according to blueprints, specifications, manufacturing orders, and work instructions.
- Maintains correct dimensions of parts while running the job using measurement instruments micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Verifies the conformity of the parts to blueprint specifications during and after the run time.
- Recognizes improper machine functions and reports to supervisor.
- Clean and maintain the equipment.
- Work effectively as part of a team and work with minimum supervision
- Establish good rapport with others in all levels of the organization.
- A self starter that can contribute creative ideas on how to improve our processes.
- A positive attitude that is brought to work daily.
Skills:
- Dependable/Reliable
- Good basic math skills
- Ability to use Calipers, micrometers and any other tools that you might own along with our tools to ensure quality.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to work independently
- Previous Manufacturing Experience
- Able to lift up to 50 LBS.
- Must be able to program in Mastercam
