Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Payroll Assistant to join our long term care team. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to support essential financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across accounts payable and payroll functions. Extensive experience using PointClickCare and Paylocity or Paycom is required. This job location can be in Muskogee or Holdenville OK area.

Responsibilities

Process and verify invoices using various accounting software using PointClickCare, ensuring timely payments and accurate data entry.
Manage accounts payable workflows by reviewing vendor invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and preparing payment batches aligned with company policies.
Handle payroll administration tasks including data entry into Paylocity; ensuring accurate employee hours, deductions, and benefits processing.
Reconcile accounts payable and payroll transactions regularly to maintain precise financial records and support audit readiness.
Collaborate with the accounting team on month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling invoices, payroll data, and other financial records with integrity.

Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
Experience working with financial software of PointClickCare and Paylocity or Paycom Payroll system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of accounts payable automation tools and invoice processing workflows.
Familiarity with payroll management systems and benefits administration platforms
Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently while adhering to financial compliance standards.
Excellent attention to detail in data entry tasks such as 10-key typing and bookkeeping entries.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including human resources and finance teams.
