Pioneer Point Recovery is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead food service operations at our residential behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment facility.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for creating and serving high-quality, nutritious meals while overseeing the day-to-day operation of our kitchen. The Executive Chef will manage menu planning, food preparation, purchasing and inventory, kitchen sanitation, food safety, dietary accommodations, and overall food quality.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and understands that, in a residential treatment environment, meals are an important part of creating a welcoming, comfortable, and recovery-focused experience for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen and food service operations
- Plan and prepare nutritious, appealing, well-balanced meals
- Develop menus that provide variety while supporting client health and wellness
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste and unnecessary expenses
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe commercial kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and applicable health department requirements
- Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Accommodate food allergies, medically necessary diets, religious dietary requirements, and other special nutritional needs
- Maintain appropriate food service and sanitation records
- Oversee kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance or repair needs
- Train, supervise, and provide direction to kitchen staff
- Work collaboratively with facility leadership and other departments
- Help create a positive and respectful dining experience for clients and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary degree, associate degree, or formal culinary training preferred but not required
- Previous experience preferred
- Food handler, food manager, and other required certifications—or ability to obtain them
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, menu development, inventory management, and commercial kitchen operations
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, hospitality, education, or institutional food service is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities

Pay: $40,336.13 - $55,028.45 per year
