Dermatology - Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA)
6:45am – 5pm Monday through Thursday - Muskogee Office
Southside Dermatology, PLLC is searching for a well-educated and experienced RN, LPN, or MA to join our health care team at our Muskogee location. We have been providing the highest quality Medical, Surgical, and Cosmetic Dermatology services to the Northeast Oklahoma area (Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Muskogee) since 2018 and look forward to many more years of service. You will be working on a 4 person team composed of one provider (Physician Associate) and 3 nurses. We utilize the top dermatology EMR system in the country, ModMed, to efficiently manage our patients and decrease workload. Enjoy the benefit of a stable clinic work schedule with no nights or weekends, major holidays off, and 3 day weekends. Work schedule is 6:45am – 5pm, Monday through Thursday. You also receive substantial discounts on cosmetic procedures such as lasers, facials, neurotoxins, and dermal fillers.
Pay is based on education level and experience.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to Southside Dermatology Code of Conduct Guidelines
Efficiently room patients and accurately document medical history, diagnoses, and plans.
Accurately collect and record patient data into the EMR system.
Setup and assist with biopsies, surgeries, and cosmetic procedures.
Return patient phone calls and deliver pathology/lab results.
Sterilize and prepare medical utensils and equipment.
Educate and update patients on medical treatment plans.
Maintain medical supplies in assigned rooms.
Verify and send prescriptions/medications by e-script or phone as directed by provider.
Obtain prior authorizations and eligibility checks.
Follow safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Licensed RN, LPN, MA preferred.
Honesty, integrity, and high moral/ethical standards.
Previous clinic and EMR experience is preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with staff and patients.
Strong work ethic and a desire for self-improvement.
Familiarity with medical instruments and equipment.
Ability to build rapport with patients and staff and participate in a team-based approach to patient care.
Compassion for others and a caring heart.
Commitment to accurate documentation and patient safety.
Appropriate behavior and professional conduct.
Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical medications.
