Position: Tax Senior Associate

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000

Type: Direct Hire (hybrid schedule opportunities)

Archon Resources is currently looking for a Tax Sales Associate for direct hire to join one of our best clients located in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a permanent position with full benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, & 401k, and opportunities for bonus.

Summary:

An established and growing public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join its team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and technical expertise. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who values collaboration, continuous learning, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on clients and team members alike.

The organization offers a supportive and team-oriented environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally, develop leadership skills, and build long-term careers in public accounting. Team members benefit from hands-on experience across a variety of industries and receive regular interaction with clients and firm leadership.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other business entities.
Prepare quarterly tax estimates and assist with tax provision calculations.
Participate in client engagements by providing tax planning, compliance, and consulting services.
Research complex tax matters and develop strategies to address client needs and opportunities.
Respond to inquiries and correspondence from federal, state, and local tax authorities.
Assist with the supervision, mentoring, and development of junior tax professionals.
Collaborate with leadership and clients to identify and implement tax-saving strategies.
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Honesty, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of their work.
A positive attitude and commitment to professional development and continuing education.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required.
Active CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of two years of public accounting tax experience required.
Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance requirements.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Experience with tax software platforms such as CCH Axcess is preferred.
