Job Overview

Walters Services loves people! The Business Systems Analyst role is a bridge between software systems and operational excellence. Responsibilities include analyzing business processes, implementing and configuring software systems, recommending process changes to increase operational efficiencies, and championing the adoption of technology solutions with our business partners. This role partners closely with leadership stakeholders to maximize technology utilization throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis – Lead discovery sessions to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements
Process Mapping – Analyze current workflows, identify gaps, and design optimized future‑state processes
System Design – Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work with stakeholders across functional units to ensure alignment and solution feasibility
Data Analysis – Use data to validate assumptions, measure performance, and support decision‑making
Solution Validation – Develop test plans, perform system testing, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing
Change Management – Support training, documentation, and rollout activities for new software solutions and product enhancements
System Support – Troubleshoot incidents, resolve and/or coordinate with vendors to ensure timely resolution
Product Ownership – Act as the product owner for assigned technology solutions, stay abreast of upcoming product changes, influence the product roadmap as an advocate of Walters Services

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university

Experience

Minimum of 2-years experience in systems administration, business analysis, systems analysis, or similar role
Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) preferred
Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Visio, Power BI, JIRA, and ServiceNow preferred
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and related enterprise systems preferred

Certifications

IIBA Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification or equivalent preferred

Work Environment

Diverse work environment such as: office, warehouse, vehicle/property maintenance shop, yard
Generally, Monday – Friday, 8am EST – 5pm EST with the ability to adjust as needed to accomplish Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Expected to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week
Ability to travel 25%

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
