Full Job Description

Join a Growing Coastal Hospitality Company

Saltwater Grande is a boutique hospitality company specializing in luxury vacation rentals, property management, real estate, and design throughout the Grand Strand. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Jr. Staff Accountant to join our accounting team.

This position works directly with the Controller and plays an important role in maintaining the financial accuracy of multiple operating companies. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a structured environment, and takes pride in producing accurate work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career within a stable and expanding organization.

Responsibilities

Accounts payable processing
Vendor setup and maintenance
Vendor invoice entry and check preparation
Daily posting of receipts and deposits
Daily posting of vendor invoices into Streamline
Daily disbursement processing
Monthly credit card reconciliations
Monthly homeowner statement preparation
Reconciliation of canceled reservations prior to owner disbursements
Monthly maintenance plan billing
Preparation of monthly sales and accommodations tax reports
Transfer completed maintenance work orders into Streamline for homeowner billing
Assist with month-end closing procedures
Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable or related functions
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
Proficiency in Quickbooks
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Professional communication skills and a positive attitude
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Experience with property management or vacation rental accounting preferred
Experience using Streamline PMS or similar property management software a plus
Knowledge of sales tax, accommodations tax, or trust accounting
Experience working in a multi-company environment
