Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant within the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration.

The Administrative Assistant provides advanced administrative and operational support for assigned academic departments within the Wall College of Business. This position serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, students, staff, and external stakeholders while coordinating departmental operations, supporting instructional activities, maintaining records and documentation, and assisting with fiscal and administrative processes

Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Coordinating and administering daily administrative operations for assigned academic departments.
Maintaining departmental records and ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with university policies and procedures.
Supporting departmental fiscal activities, including procurement, travel processing, expenditure tracking, and related administrative functions.
Assisting faculty with instructional and academic operations, including schedules, course-related documentation, and routine operational support.
Planning and coordinating department meetings, advisory board meetings, committee activities, and special events.
Preparing, distributing, and maintaining official meeting materials, records, and minutes.
Providing functional oversight and guidance to student employees and graduate assistants.
Serving as a resource for faculty, students, staff, and visitors by responding to inquiries and facilitating administrative processes.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Administrative Assistant (AA75/61122447), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Grade: GEN06. Salary range: $37,200.00 (minimum) to $48,300.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook) and the ability to learn and apply new technologies; knowledge of university policies, procedures, and administrative operations related to academic, fiscal, and program activities; ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the public while exercising discretion and good judgment in interpreting and applying departmental and program policies and procedures; ability to independently plan, organize, and coordinate multiple administrative processes and priorities across more than one department; ability to work independently in implementing administrative procedures with minimal supervision; ability to maintain accurate academic files and records with a high level of attention to detail; effective oral and written communication skills; strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines; ability to coordinate and monitor departmental budgets, expenditures, and related financial processes; ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information; and ability to analyze and resolve routine administrative and operational issues using established procedures.
