Full Job Description

Summary

This position participates in general work and responsibilities relating to the Grounds division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Participates in the monitoring, maintaining, cleaning/debris removal, mowing, and improving town rights-of-way, beaches, streets, drainage system, town parking lots and sidewalks.
Participates in daily duties of landscaping and landscape maintenance, including planting, mowing and caring for grass, shrubs, and trees.
Operate mowers, tractors, backhoes, and other equipment necessary for completion of assignments.
Participates in various types of projects/events as needed throughout the year.
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications /Education /Skills

High school diploma or equivalent and some related work experience.
Oral and written communication skills with ability to read and write legibly and understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Mathematic skills with ability to make basic computations in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Possess and maintain a valid SC Driver's License.
Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screen, background check which may include criminal history and driving record.
