Patient Services Coordinator (Healthcare Front Desk) – Part-Time

PTSMC Groton is looking for a Part-Time Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) to join our team.

If you’re friendly, organized, and enjoy helping people, this could be a great opportunity to join a growing healthcare organization. As a PSC, you’ll be an important part of the patient experience; welcoming patients when they arrive, helping them navigate the administrative side of their care, and working closely with our physical therapists and clinic team.

About the Role

The Patient Services Coordinator is a key, customer service focused role providing exceptional patient experiences while keeping our front desk running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for a variety of medical reception, patient scheduling, customer service, and administrative duties, including:

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Check patients in and out of their appointments
Answer and appropriately route incoming phone calls
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
Assist patients with registration, intake, and insurance forms
Verify and maintain accurate patient information
Enter and update patient information in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
Collect copayments and other patient payments
Communicate with patients regarding appointments, paperwork, and general questions
Work closely with physical therapists and other clinic staff to support a smooth patient experience
Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional front desk environment

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates will have:

Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare, front desk, reception, customer service, or administrative role preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Comfort using computers and learning new software systems
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
A professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and discretion

Previous physical therapy or healthcare work experience is a plus
