Full Job Description

KBW Financial has partnered with a well established organization based out of Bristol County MA that is actively looking to add an Assistant Controller to their growing team! The Assistant Controller will report to the district controller and assist with month end close, budgeting/forecasting, and operational accounting. The ideal candidate must be open to relocation. The Assistant Controller will perform the following:

Responsibilities:

Manage the flow of accounting data between corporate systems and remote facilities.
Support quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities, including documentation and internal review processes.
Communicate financial results and key insights to internal business partners on an ongoing basis.
Perform rate analysis and review to support accurate financial reporting and decision-making.
Prepare monthly narrative explanations of significant variances compared to budget and forecast.
Develop and maintain a rolling three-month financial forecast on a monthly basis.
Assist in the planning and execution of the annual budgeting process.
Ensure accuracy of financial records through reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.
Complete monthly financial close activities, including preparation of financial statements for assigned operating locations.
Provide training to non-financial personnel on internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial reporting.
Includes approximately 10% travel, with potential relocation opportunities.
