Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food production, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This position requires strong leadership abilities, a solid understanding of food service management, and a commitment to excellence in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and food production.
Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels and managing food costs effectively.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Collaborate with the Chef to create seasonal and special event menus.
Commit to working 40 hours a week and a mix of day and night shifts.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Knowledge of inventory management practices and food production techniques.
Familiarity with food service management principles and catering operations.
Be able to create specials using local seafood.
Ability to cook in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in food handling or culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory.
