The Division of State Care Facilities is hiring a Trainer Associate to join our training team. As a Trainer Associate, you'll play a key role in shaping the employee and contracted staff experience by coordinating our monthly Orientation training for the facilities on our Nampa campus, including the Southwest Idaho Treatment Center, State Hospital West, and Birch Children's Residential Facility. You'll be the primary point of contact for new hires and contracted staff during their onboarding journey, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and excited to begin their careers with us.
In this role, you'll also have the opportunity to facilitate portions of our orientation program by delivering engaging onboarding presentations, helping new employees and contracted staff understand our organization, culture, and expectations from their very first day. Working closely with hiring managers, you'll help coordinate the hiring and onboarding process for a variety of positions, including direct care, facility operations, and administrative staff. You'll become an essential member of our administrative support team dedicated to serving all facilities across our campus.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Coordinate monthly Orientation trainings for multiple facilities.
- Deliver engaging onboarding presentations to introduce new employees to our organization, workplace expectations, and essential resources.
- Serve as the primary communication resource for new hires throughout the onboarding process.
- Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Ensure onboarding tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain training and onboarding records while supporting compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with administrative team members to provide exceptional support across campus.
- Help create a positive, welcoming, and informative first-day experience for every new employee
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.
- Some knowledge of training methods. Typically gained by successful completion of coursework or workshops of 16 hours or more covering communication concepts, learning styles, course design, and presentation skills. It may also be demonstrated through experience presenting formal training sessions to groups.
- Experience developing and making presentations before groups. Typically gained by completion of college level speech classes, toastmasters, Dale Carnegie courses, or three or more different business related group presentations.
- Experience drafting narrative reports. Typically gained by experience drafting narrative reports for college level coursework or a structured narrative writing requirement with three or more complex reports.
