Full Job Description

At Nick’s Italian Ristorante, we are committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience through consistency, quality, and a strong team culture. As a Sous Chef or Kitchen Lead, you will support daily kitchen operations while helping maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, organization, and execution.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who leads by example, supports the development of the back-of-house team, and helps keep every shift running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

Support daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and closing
Execute and uphold all recipes, presentation, and menu standards
Lead the kitchen team during assigned shifts
Assist with training, coaching, and developing back-of-house employees
Monitor ticket times, food quality, and consistency throughout service
Help manage ordering, inventory, waste, and food-cost controls
Assist with scheduling and maintaining appropriate labor levels
Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and food-safety compliant
Communicate product needs, staffing concerns, and operational issues to leadership
Partner with the Chef de Cuisine, General Manager, and Regional Chef to drive results
