Staff Accountant – Rye Brook, NY

Since our inception in 1980, RPW Group has become the premier owner and developer of commercial property in the New York tri-state area. Our specialty is the acquisition and repositioning of underperforming assets through our vertically integrated business model. We have owned and developed over 10 million square feet of space and continue to expand our portfolio. We invite you to join our dynamic and growing team headquartered in Rye Brook, NY.

RPW Group is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and organized Staff Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance team. The position will work closely with all members of the Accounting and Finance team.

Job Responsibilities:

· Prepare Purchase Orders and enter into accounting system for supplies, service calls, construction & contracts.

· Enter recurring monthly invoices into accounting system after matching to the related approved Purchase Order.

· Check vendor statements each month for any missing invoices or discrepancies.

· Monitor Con Ed invoices on website for all properties on a weekly basis, prepare work-ups for approval, and enter into the system.

· Monitor Work Orders on a weekly basis to ensure they are ready to be processed by our billing team.

· Assist in running monthly rent rolls and ensuring they are up-to-date for compliance & reporting

· Assist with year-end closing preparation and workpapers to accountants

· Assist with filing needs

· Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as needed in a multi-entity business environment.

Qualifications:

· College degree in Accounting

· Prior experience working in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or both a must

· Strong attention to detail and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment

· Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

· Proactive, collaborative leader with a commitment to process improvement and accuracy

· Proficient with Microsoft Office programs

· Self-motivated and team-oriented attitude

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
