Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to enhance their experience.
- Serve a variety of craft beers, craft ciders, and wine-based cocktails.
- Operate POS systems such as TOAST to process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and handling standards.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations with excellent time management skills during busy hours.
- Support food service operations by serving food courses promptly and coordinating with kitchen staff when needed.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience in a casual setting.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality industry practices, including food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Proven experience in food service, beverage preparation, mixology, or bartending within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of beverage recipes, cocktail creation, wine knowledge, spirits expertise, and brewing processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management skills.
- Experience in fine dining or banquet settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and basic math for retail math and cash handling.
- Previous bar experience is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
