ABOUT THE PROJECT
Fitness Superstore / French Fitness has a 4,400 sq. ft. showroom containing commercial fitness equipment. We already have a photographer and an internal product-image editing workflow. We need a highly organized on-site producer/coordinator to make each shoot day efficient and ensure every product receives a complete, accurate, ecommerce-ready raw photo set.
In addition to product-level PDP photography, this role includes improving the visual presentation of our showroom and creating an updated library of showroom and warehouse images for our website, including the Fitness Superstore Warehouse / Showroom page and the French Fitness Showroom Products collection.
The coordinator will work with our photographer and approved company staff to ensure the showroom is clean, organized, visually appealing, spacious, and customer-ready while accurately representing the equipment and facility.
This is not primarily a photography, retouching, warehouse labor, or remote asset-management position. You will coordinate the photographer, product team, and approved showroom/warehouse staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Audit the equipment physically present in the showroom against the approved Shopify product/SKU list.
- Build the daily shoot order and product-level shot list before photography begins.
- Verify the exact product code, model, color, configuration, attachments, and included components before each product is photographed.
- Inspect and stage each machine: remove dust and fingerprints, align seats and adjustment pins, organize cables and attachments, remove unrelated clutter, and flag visible damage, missing parts, incorrect labels, paint issues, or assembly concerns.
- Request cleaning, repair review, or repositioning from the appropriate company employee before the product is photographed.
- Direct company-approved warehouse/install staff when a heavy machine must be moved. You will not be expected or permitted to move heavy commercial equipment by yourself.
- Coordinate a consistent PDP photo set, including straight front, straight rear, left/right profiles, front 3/4 angles, alternate operating/configuration positions, and close-ups of adjustment points, pin holes, handles, weight stacks, pulleys, footplates, upholstery, labels, branding, and model plates where applicable.
- Review images on-site at full size and catch distortion, reflections, blocked features, clutter, inconsistent positioning, missing angles, or wrong-product issues before the machine is reset.
- Keep raw image sets separated and labeled by exact SKU/product code.
- Upload raw files into the correct Google Drive product folder and update the completion, issue, movement, and reshoot tracker.
- Leave the showroom organized after each shoot block.
- Conduct a pre-shoot visual audit of the entire showroom and create an actionable preparation punch list covering dirty equipment, fingerprints, dusty floors, clutter, pallets, boxes, tools, visible cords, loose attachments, inconsistent signage, crowded aisles, poorly aligned machines, and other presentation issues.
- Coordinate approved company employees or vendors to complete cleaning, minor corrections, signage adjustments, accessory organization, and equipment repositioning before photography.
- Stage the showroom as an attractive commercial fitness environment, including entrance areas, main aisles, cardio, selectorized strength, racks, rigs, multi-station equipment, benches, free weights, storage, and other product zones.
- Work with the photographer to capture updated exterior signage, entrance views, full-showroom overviews, customer-perspective walkthrough angles, category images, branded detail shots, and other facility photography suitable for website marketing.
- Plan website-ready image compositions, including wide hero/banner images with clean negative space, horizontal content images, square or 4:5 crops, and vertical 9:16 compositions for email and social media.
- Review showroom images on-site for clutter, poor sightlines, reflections, competitor branding, blocked equipment, crooked signage, lighting issues, and other presentation problems before the area is reset.
- Prepare a simple contact sheet or image-use recommendation identifying which images are best suited for website banners, collection pages, email campaigns, social media, and other approved marketing uses.
- If qualified, assist with supplemental still photography or basic crop/composition recommendations. Final retouching and graphic design remain separate unless specifically assigned.
- Upload raw files, recommended selects, contact sheets, and crop/use notes into the existing Google Drive "Showroom Pictures" and "New French Fitness Warehouse Photos" folders without overwriting original files.
- Do not photograph customers or employees for public marketing use without prior management approval and any required release.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in commercial photo production, ecommerce merchandising, visual merchandising, studio coordination, product-content operations, or a comparable detail-heavy production role.

- Excellent SKU, filename, checklist, and Google Drive/Google Sheets accuracy.
- Comfortable working around large commercial equipment in a warehouse/showroom environment.
- Reliable transportation to Benicia and weekday availability during showroom hours.
- Clear, responsive communication and the ability to coordinate several people without losing product-level details.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Basic experience creating contact sheets, crop mockups, or image-use recommendations using Adobe, Canva, or similar tools.
SAFETY AND SCOPE BOUNDARIES
- Do not move, drag, lift, disassemble, repair, or energize heavy equipment without approval and trained company support.
