Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Therapist and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this rewarding role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change. Your dedication will help clients achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life through compassionate care, structured teaching, and personalized support plans. Duties

Deliver behavioral therapy sessions utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to children and individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene to foster independence
Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment plans
Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in accordance with best practices and client needs
Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in intervention strategies
Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and HIPAA-compliant records to ensure confidentiality and compliance
Support clients during therapy sessions by applying behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors

Skills

Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a patient-centered manner
Excellent data collection skills to track progress effectively over time
Familiarity with special education practices and teaching strategies tailored for diverse learners
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA regulations for privacy compliance
Compassionate approach to patient care combined with effective behavior management skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans
