Full Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a Production Manager to lead production operations in a growing plastic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, labor performance, and continuous improvement across a 12-hour shift operation while developing supervisors and supporting long-term operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead day-to-day production operations across assigned shifts through direct leadership of Production Supervisors and coordination with maintenance, quality, planning, and warehouse support.

· Plan, prioritize, and align production activities to meet customer demand, quality standards, cost expectations, and delivery targets.

· Monitor and improve key metrics including safety, downtime, scrap, cycle time, labor utilization, output, and on-time delivery.

· Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts related to production disruptions, quality concerns, maintenance issues, and schedule performance.

· Develop supervisors and frontline teams through coaching, accountability, performance management, and clear operating expectations.

· Support standard work, reporting discipline, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production function.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and manufacturing procedures in a 24/7 operating environment.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in operations, industrial engineering, manufacturing, business, or equivalent experience preferred.

· 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in plastic manufacturing, ideally in injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or a related process environment.

· Experience leading supervisors and cross-functional production support teams.

· Strong knowledge of OEE, scrap, cycle time, labor efficiency, schedule attainment, and continuous improvement.

· Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and production documentation.

· Working knowledge of CMMS or ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
