Full Job Description

Trend Technologies is a worldwide corporation specializing in the manufacture of sheet metal products and complex assemblies for many of the world’s leading high-tech companies. Trend Technologies has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Production Planner/Scheduler at our Elk Grove Village, IL facility

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for planning and scheduling to ensure on-time deliveries to customers within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements.
Coordinating production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.
Interaction with sales, production, and engineering teams as requested to ensure customer delivery needs are met.
Utilize ERP systems and other production management software to create accurate production schedules
Maintain accurate documentation of schedules, changes, and related reports for continuous improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma and 1-2 years’ experience in materials planning and inventory management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Relevant experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations is required.
APICS certification a plus.
Background in labor capacity planning is preferred.
Knowledgeable in spreadsheet, word-processing and manufacturing-control software applications is required. BaaN 5 or BaaN LN experience a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
