Full Job Description

Endeavor Hotels is seeking a General Manager for the Hyatt Place located in Lombard IL. someone who is responsible for the overall leadership, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and daily operations of Hyatt Place Lombard. The GM will ensure the hotel consistently delivers exceptional guest experiences while maximizing profitability, maintaining Hyatt brand standards, developing team members, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

The General Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain high operational standards, and drive continuous improvement in all areas of the hotel.

Essential ResponsibilitiesFinancial Performance

Achieve annual revenue, GOP, and EBITDA goals.
Develop and manage operating budgets.
Control labor costs and departmental expenses.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
Increase RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without sacrificing guest service.
Monitor purchasing and inventory controls.

Operations Management

Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Breakfast, and Sales departments.
Ensure compliance with Hyatt Brand Standards.
Maintain excellent property condition through preventative maintenance.
Conduct daily property inspections.
Ensure safety and security procedures are followed.
Maintain all licenses, permits, and required inspections.

Guest Satisfaction

Maintain guest review scores above Hyatt brand expectations.
Respond personally to escalated guest concerns.
Monitor Medallia, Google, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Booking.com, and other online review platforms.
Develop action plans to improve guest satisfaction scores.
Create a culture of exceptional hospitality.

Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing employees.
Conduct weekly department head meetings.
Perform regular employee evaluations.
Build future leaders through mentoring and development.
Promote teamwork and accountability.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and employment laws.

Sales & Revenue Growth

Partner with the Sales Manager to maximize revenue opportunities.
Develop relationships with local businesses and community organizations.
Participate in revenue management meetings.
Review competitive market conditions.
Support local marketing initiatives and community events.

Human Resources

Maintain proper staffing levels.
Manage scheduling to meet labor targets.
Conduct disciplinary actions when necessary.
Ensure payroll accuracy.
Maintain employee files and required documentation.
Promote a respectful, inclusive workplace.

Property Maintenance

Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to Hyatt standards.
Review preventive maintenance schedules.
Ensure all life safety equipment is operational.
Coordinate capital improvement projects when required.

Compliance

Follow Hyatt brand requirements.
Maintain OSHA compliance.
Ensure health department standards are met.
Maintain fire and life safety compliance.
Ensure PCI and data security compliance.
Protect confidential guest and employee information.

Daily Responsibilities

Conduct morning operations meeting.
Review previous day's revenue and labor reports.
Walk all public areas and guest floors.
Review arrivals, departures, and VIP guests.
Meet with department managers.
Resolve guest concerns.
Monitor staffing levels.
Review maintenance issues.
Follow up on outstanding action items.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Hyatt GM Training (GMU) completion.
