Torch Architecture is a boutique commercial architecture and interiors firm located in Naperville, Illinois. We specialize in commercial architecture, interior renovations, adaptive reuse, automotive, multifamily, office, retail, hospitality and mixed-use projects.

Who You Are
Torch Architecture is seeking a creative, practical designer who enjoys sketching ideas and exploring alternatives. The role is focused on solving client problems and involves creating presentations that help clients visualize projects, clear communication with project teams and clients, and conceptual thinking with practical project requirements. The right person for this role will have an interest in both architecture and interiors, comfortability producing, rendering, developing Revit models, assisting with production drawings, and an understanding of project budgets, schedules, codes, and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
Design & Concept Development
· Design studies and concepts
· Space planning, site planning and exterior building design
· Support design development efforts throughout all project phases
· Participate in design charrettes and internal project reviews
3D Modeling & Visualization
· 3D modeling and rendering production
· Development of project graphics and visual communication materials
· Graphic design and marketing support as needed
Presentations & Client Support
· Presentation development
· Client presentation support
· Assist in preparing client presentations and public meeting presentations
Production & Coordination
· Revit production
· Coordination with Project Managers and Project Architects
· Assist with production drawings and project documentation as required
· Coordinate design intent with technical and consultant requirements
Qualifications & Competencies
Designer
· 1–3 years of commercial architecture experience
Senior Designer
· 5+ years of commercial architecture experience
Required Skills
· Strong Revit proficiency
· Enscape or Lumion rendering experience
· Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
· Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial architecture experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
Work Environment
· Full-time
· This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence with flexibility to work remotely.
· This role is based out of our satellite office space in Chicago and may require occasional travel to our headquarters in Naperville.
· Regular collaboration with project teams

· Compensation: $65,000 – $95,000 based on experience level (Designer I, II, or III).
· The salary range provided is a general guideline. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and overall alignment with the role and company needs.
