Looking to jumpstart your accounting career with hands-on experience? Elder Hanson & Company, Ltd., a well-established CPA firm in downtown Naperville, is hiring a part-time Tax Intern for the Spring 2027 tax season (January 18 through April 15).

This Tax Season Internship is an opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience working alongside Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), build your resume, and be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team.

What You'll Do:

Prepare, organize, and scan confidential tax documents
Review files for accuracy, completeness, and proper organization
Save and maintain digital documents in our firm's document management system
Prepare professional client deliverables (digital and print)
Prepare individual tax returns if proficiency is demonstrated in other responsibilities and workload capacity permits
Communicate professionally with clients, CPAs and team members
Work exclusively from our office in downtown Naperville

Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help us meet deadlines and deliver top-notch client service. This CPA Firm Internship role offers valuable exposure to our tax preparation services, workflow management, and professional client interactions.

Who We're Looking For:

College student currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Reliable transportation to our Naperville office

Schedule:

Available to work up to 35 hours per week, Monday through Saturday during tax season, with flexible scheduling.
