Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Soap Bars Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in creating high-quality soap products. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will drive the manufacturing team to meet production targets while maintaining safety standards and optimizing resource utilization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape innovative processes within a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment.

Required

7+ years operations / production management in a manufacturing environment, ideally unionized with rotating shifts.
High-speed packaging experience in a fast-paced production environment, bar soap preferred. This is the line that matters most to me, so see Section 3.
Hands-on manufacturing process knowledge. They have run production lines and they understand the quality and safety risks on the floor.
People leadership. They currently manage direct reports (supervisors, engineers, maintenance, line operators) and have built up a team.
Union exposure. They have worked in or alongside a union and know their way around a collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
Metrics ownership. They are accountable for Safety, OEE, yields, quality, changeovers and OTIF.
Business / administrative knowledge: budgets, scheduling, investment proposals, plant policies.
Shift flexibility. They can support a 24/7 operation and respond to off-hours emergencies.
Intermediate–advanced MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Nice to Have

Direct experience managing in a union environment (vs. only exposure)
Experience in an FDA-regulated facility
Experience in a high-speed manufacturing setting
Prior consumer products (CPG) industry experience
Strong planning/organizing and analytical/quantitative skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,
