Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bilingual Receptionist to join our medical office team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, ensuring effective interaction with patients and staff. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional patient service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the overall operations of the clinic.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Manage multi-line phone systems, answering calls promptly and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Verify insurance information and assist with insurance verification processes.
Able to perform insurance authorization for specialists
Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence.
Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar for patient management.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and support care plans.
Uphold high standards of patient service while maintaining confidentiality.

Experience

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and EHR systems is essential.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required.
Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
