As our service department continues to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled Watch Refinisher to restore luxury timepieces to the highest cosmetic standards while preserving the integrity and originality of each watch.
Position Summary
The Watch Refinisher is responsible for professionally restoring the cosmetic appearance of luxury watches through expert refinishing of cases, bracelets, clasps, and other external components. This role requires exceptional craftsmanship, patience, and attention to detail to achieve factory-quality finishes while maintaining original case geometry and manufacturer specifications.

Key ResponsibilitiesWatch Refinishing
- Professionally refinish luxury watch cases, bracelets, clasps, and bezels.
- Restore brushed, polished, satin, and specialty finishes to factory-quality standards.
- Preserve original case lines, bevels, chamfers, and geometry throughout the refinishing process.
- Remove scratches and cosmetic imperfections while minimizing material removal.
- Ensure all refinishing work meets Exquisite Timepieces quality standards.
Quality Control
- Inspect watches before and after refinishing.
- Identify cosmetic issues requiring correction.
- Verify consistent finishing across all surfaces.
- Ensure watches are free from polishing residue and contaminants prior to reassembly.
- Maintain detailed quality control standards throughout every project.
Equipment & Workstation
- Operate polishing motors, lapping machines, ultrasonic cleaners, and other refinishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain polishing compounds, brushes, wheels, abrasives, and consumables.
- Keep workstations organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on refinishing equipment.
Collaboration
- Work closely with watchmakers and service technicians throughout the repair process.
- Coordinate with the service department regarding project priorities and completion timelines.
- Communicate any cosmetic concerns that may affect restoration outcomes.
- Support quality assurance efforts before completed watches are returned to clients.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with manufacturer refinishing techniques and luxury watch industry standards.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and skill development.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
QualificationsRequired
- 2+ years of professional refinishing or polishing experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality cosmetic restorations.
- Strong understanding of brushed, polished, satin, and mixed finishes.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience refinishing luxury watches.
- Experience with Rolex, Tudor, Omega, Cartier, Grand Seiko, Breitling, or other luxury brands.
- Jewelry polishing or precious metal finishing experience.
- Watchmaking or service center experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturer refinishing specifications and quality standards.
