Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's team as a Billing Coordinator. This full-time position involves managing accounts payable and receivable, including collections, maintaining the general ledger, and handling construction billing processes. The role requires a strong understanding of financial record-keeping, billing procedures, and familiarity with construction project invoicing. The position operates from 7 am to 4 pm and offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Handle collections related to AR to maintain healthy cash flow
Maintain accurate records in the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented
Prepare and process construction billing for projects
Oversee day-to-day billing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary billing information and resolve any discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing processes related to financial transactions and billing records
Support other bookkeeping functions as needed to ensure smooth financial operations

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections
Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
Construction billing experience is preferred but not required; familiarity with construction project invoicing is advantageous
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently within a set schedule
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
