GENERAL MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Fort Myers, Naples, and LaBelle, Florida locations. This individual will have overall responsibility for the performance and success of these locations, including team leadership, fleet management and utilization, routing and logistics, customer experience, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
The General Manager will be responsible for building and developing a high-performing team, maintaining ZoomAround's operational and vehicle quality standards, maximizing fleet availability and revenue opportunities, and ensuring each location operates safely, efficiently, and profitably. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage multiple locations, prioritize competing operational needs, solve problems in real time, and hold themselves and their team accountable for results.
Working closely with the ZoomAround Executive Team, the General Manager will monitor key performance indicators, identify opportunities for improvement and growth, and take ownership of implementing solutions that strengthen the overall operation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and an ownership mentality while consistently representing ZoomAround's standards and culture.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of management or operational leadership experience, preferably within a multi-location, rental, automotive, logistics, transportation, hospitality, or service-based environment.
- Proven experience leading, developing, and holding teams accountable while maintaining a positive, professional, and performance-driven culture.
- Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and managing employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple locations, departments, or operational functions simultaneously while effectively prioritizing competing demands.
- Experience managing budgets, payroll, operating expenses, and location-level financial performance with an understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
- Proven ability to establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators related to revenue, labor efficiency, productivity, customer service, and operational performance.
- Experience managing fleet, equipment, inventory, or other company assets with an emphasis on availability, utilization, quality, and cost control.
- Strong understanding of routing, logistics, scheduling, dispatch, or delivery operations and the ability to make effective real-time operational decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement processes that improve productivity, quality, customer experience, and profitability.
- Experience managing inventory, procurement, vendor relationships, and asset management systems.
- Proven ability to maintain high standards for workplace safety, facility organization, equipment quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to independently resolve personnel, customer, fleet, and operational challenges.
- Experience developing procedures, training programs, and process improvements that create consistency and accountability across an organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience reporting operational and financial performance to senior leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize scheduling, routing, fleet management, reservation, and other operational software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations, performance, and profitability of the Naples, Fort Myers, and LaBelle locations.
- Take ownership of operational execution, customer experience, fleet readiness, staffing, revenue performance, and location profitability.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, develop, manage, and hold accountable all location personnel.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and oversee employee scheduling and payroll based on reservation volume, seasonality, and operational demand.
- Establish employee and departmental goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching, recognition, and corrective action when necessary.
- Conduct regular team meetings focused on company goals, performance, safety, training, accountability, and company culture.
- Ensure all ZoomAround policies, procedures, operational standards, and safety requirements are consistently followed.
- Oversee all In-Service, In-Maintenance, and Out-of-Service carts and ensure vehicles are returned to service efficiently.
- Maximize fleet availability and utilization through proper vehicle allocation, cart optimization, maintenance coordination, and strategic transfers between locations.
- Ensure all vehicles meet ZoomAround's mechanical, safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
- Oversee daily routing, deliveries, pickups, and logistics to ensure efficient and timely execution across all assigned locations.
- Coordinate with Customer Service to manage reservation changes, vehicle availability, delivery and pickup requirements, and operational customer issues.
- Manage real-time operational disruptions, including callouts, breakdowns, roadside assistance, vehicle replacements, and scheduling conflicts.
- Oversee location Profit & Loss performance, payroll budgets, operating expenses, and other controllable costs.
- Monitor revenue, fleet utilization, labor efficiency, and other key performance indicators while identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
- Oversee parts, tools, supplies, procurement, inventory management, and accountability for company-owned assets.
- Manage key vendor relationships and ensure appropriate service levels, pricing, and operational support.
- Responsible for building and maintaining key relationships with local partners
- Oversee facility management, organization, cleanliness, security, shop quality control, and workplace safety.
- Ensure vehicle registrations, inspections, documentation, and other regulatory or company requirements remain current.
- Oversee in-season and off-season vehicle storage, security, organization, and cosmetic maintenance.
- Complete and maintain required daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and provide the Executive Team with updates on financial, operational, fleet, and personnel performance
- Proactively identify operational issues, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities and implement solutions that improve customer experience, efficiency, and profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Management Experience 5+ years (preferred)
- Prior leadership experience, leading a team (8+ employees) and multiple projects
- Demonstrated successful management of stressful situations
- Ability to work 5 days a week, including weekends and holidays with extra hours and days as needed during peak seasons
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, Email, Google Sheets, & Point of Sales Systems
- Previous experience overseeing Procurement & Inventory Management
- Vendor Management and Relations experience
- Ability to Manage and Maintain Facilities & Scheduling
- Customer Service experience making and scheduling Reservations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift, carry, and place supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
- Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
- Climb up and down ladders to retrieve stock and inventory merchandise
- Communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or by using telecommunications equipment
- Enters and locates information on computer
- Visually verifies information, often in small print
- Presents information to small and large groups
- Safely operates motor vehicles (Trucks, Trailers, Low Speed Vehicles, & Golf Carts)
- Experience operating forklifts
- Experience driving pickup trucks with attached trailers

SCHEDULE
Wednesday to Saturday & Monday *Weekends are required and some Federal Holidays may be required
*Note: During specific date ranges (In-Season vs Off-Season) more hours may be required.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
