Full Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: HME/CPAP INTAKE SPECIALIST

FUNCTION:
To assist customers with purchases of medical equipment, CPAP supplies, and questions about their purchases.

HAS SUCH DUTIES AS BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Answering & placing HME/CPAP phone calls
2. Assisting customers
3. Ensure required intake forms are completed and accurate
4. Create patient files for new patients
5. Keep work area neat and organized
6. Insurance verification and eligibility for new and current patient

WORK HOURS EXPECTED:
This is a full time position. Full time employees are encouraged not to exceed 40 hours per work week unless approved by management. You may be required to work 4 hours every other Saturday.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Limited physical demands for this position
- May be asked to assist with product placement throughout the store, or helping customers get product into their vehicles. Must be physically capable to lift 50 lbs

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- HME/CPAP background or knowledge is preferred.
- Must complete the mandated six hours of continuing education required by HQAA.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Employee must continually educate themselves on all CPAP products sold and have a basic understanding of Medicare billing guidelines. Must be a good problem solver and know when and how to utilize your resources for answers. You will be in charge of inventory accuracy and control of CPAP supplies and equipment. You are expected to be a dependable team player. EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS REQUIRED.

A BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED BEFORE EMPLOYEMENT AND EVERY MONTH THEREAFTER.
