System-Level Opportunity with a Nonprofit 700+ Bed Health System

Are you ready to move beyond facility-level Medical Staff Services and take on a broader system role?

Nealy Pierce has been exclusively engaged by a respected nonprofit health system in the coastal Southeast to recruit a Director of Medical Staff Services. This leader will support approximately 700 medical staff members across two hospital campuses and work directly with senior executives, physician leaders and legal counsel.

What Makes This Opportunity Compelling?

System-wide scope across two major hospitals
Direct reporting relationship to the Vice President of Medical Affairs
Established team of five, including an experienced Medical Staff Services Manager
Planned transition and support from the current Director
Opportunity to complete and then own a major medical staff bylaws revision
Expanding physician-education platform with residency and fellowship growth planned
Salary of $150,000–$160,000, with flexibility above the range
28 days of front-loaded PTO and executive-level benefits

The Leadership Scope

The Director will oversee medical staff governance, MEC coordination, credentialing, privileging, physician relations, compliance and medical staff reporting. This leader will be visible across both campuses and serve as a trusted resource when complex physician or governance matters arise.

What You Will Need

Leadership experience in Medical Staff Services within a large hospital or multi-hospital system
Strong command of MEC operations, bylaws, governance, credentialing and privileging
Confidence working with influential physician leaders and senior executives
CPMSM or CPCS strongly preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred
MD-Staff and advanced Excel experience strongly preferred
