Position Overview
Warther Private Wealth is seeking a highly analytical, performance-driven Portfolio Manager / Equity Trader to lead individual stock selection for client portfolios. This is not a passive allocation role. The firm is looking for a hands-on equity investor who can research, evaluate, and select individual stocks with rigor and conviction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying attractive individual equity opportunities, building and maintaining investment theses, monitoring portfolio holdings, and communicating recommendations directly to the CEO. This person should be comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, high-accountability environment where investment judgment, intellectual honesty, and results matter.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct deep fundamental research on individual publicly traded companies across sectors and market capitalizations.
· Develop clear, well-supported investment theses for individual stock recommendations.
· Identify compelling equity opportunities based on valuation, business quality, competitive positioning, management, balance sheet strength, earnings potential, and risk/reward profile.
· Monitor existing holdings and recommend buy, sell, trim, or add decisions as market conditions and company fundamentals evolve.
· Work directly with the CEO to discuss investment ideas, portfolio positioning, and market opportunities.
· Support portfolio construction decisions with an emphasis on individual stock selection, risk management, and long-term client outcomes.
· Stay current on market trends, macroeconomic developments, earnings reports, sector dynamics, and company-specific catalysts.
· Prepare concise written and verbal investment summaries for internal decision-making.
· Collaborate with the broader advisory and research team while maintaining ownership of stock-picking recommendations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is first and foremost a stock picker. This individual has a demonstrated passion for equity markets, a disciplined research process, and the confidence to make specific investment recommendations backed by evidence. They are intellectually curious, independent-minded, and comfortable being measured by the quality of their investment judgment.
· Strong experience researching and selecting individual stocks.
· Demonstrated ability to analyze businesses, industries, financial statements, valuation metrics, and market catalysts.
· Clear investment philosophy and repeatable process for identifying high-quality equity opportunities.
· Ability to communicate complex investment ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
· High level of integrity, discretion, judgment, and fiduciary awareness.
· Comfort working closely with senior leadership in a boutique, client-focused wealth management environment.
· Entrepreneurial mindset, strong work ethic, and desire to contribute to a growing firm.
· Experience in portfolio management, equity research, trading, investment analysis, or related investment roles.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field required; advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
· Relevant investment management, equity research, portfolio management, trading, or buy-side/sell-side experience preferred.
· Strong knowledge of public equity markets, security analysis, portfolio risk, and investment decision-making.
· Ability to build financial models, interpret earnings reports, evaluate company filings, and assess valuation.
· Series licenses, advisory credentials, or other applicable registrations are a plus, depending on the candidate’s background and responsibilities.
· Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills.

This role is based in Naples, Florida. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, track record, qualifications, and fit with the firm’s long-term objectives.
