Standard hours: 7:00am-3:30pm local time M-F

Duration of contract: approximately 3 months

Position 1: Electropolish Operator

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Complete electropolishing and passivation work in accordance with work instructions to ensure a quality product is efficiently produced.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Follows documented procedure for generating assigned production work daily
Ensures electropolishing and passivation processes (quality, safety) are adhered to and not compromised.
Identifies non-conforming product based on visual and/or dimensional inspection criteria
Swiftly communicates quality and quantity issues to supervisors and/or co-workers
Manually pre-cleans parts
Documents in-process inspection results
Monitors and take appropriate timely improvement action to meet quality and quantity expectations
Monitors equipment to ensure that it is in proper working order. Recommends maintenance and repair if required.
Transports in-process work between departments.
Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards as required by law and company policy.

OCCASSIONAL DUTIES:

Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

High School graduate or equivalent.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

SKILLS:

Ability to work independently without supervision.
Special attention to detail is required.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to see print in various sizes and formats. May be required to climb stairs. Must regularly be able to pull and push up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Work environment: Work performed in a production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time (for Maintenance & Receiving only). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, in some areas.

Position 2: Polisher I

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for all metal finishing processes and ensuring that all required processes are completed to produce parts that meet quality and ISO standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Polishing, deburring, tumble deburring, blasting, in-process cleaning of surgical instruments and implants.
Inspects products to blueprint specifications.
Utilizes and completes documentation, as required.
Understands and follows policies and procedures.
Ensures general maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
Complies with ISO policies and procedures.
Troubleshoots problems associated with equipment, tooling, and processes.

OCCASSIONAL DUTIES:

Assembles work instruments.
Overtime on an as needed basis.
Assists supervisor, as needed.
Assists in other departments, as needed.
Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. One year experience in all aspects of metal finishing stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and some polymers.

SKILLS: Ability to use polishing lathes, suction or pressure blasters required. Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and machinery limitations. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to be team oriented. Excellent visual inspection ability. Sufficient manual dexterity to handle and manipulate delicate parts and measuring instruments. Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex blueprints. Ability to operate inspection and measurement equipment.

Position 3: Electropolish Line Operator

Position 4: Anodizing Line Operator

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for the efficient operation of the Anodize line. Ensures quality material is produced in accordance with established standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Racks parts in preparation for treatment based on pre-determined schedule.
Unloads and inspects parts to ensure they meet company and customer standards.
Ability to run the line in manual or automatic mode.
Monitors line to ensure proper operation. May need to stop and restart line as needed.
Troubleshoots any problems throughout the production process and chooses best course of action. Consults with lead and/or supervisor as necessary.
Packages material according to customer specification with no damage to material.
Shows ability to verify anodize process perimeters (recipes)
Perform temperature checks
Notifies supervisor of any mechanical problems.
Performs all duties in accordance with company safety and standards.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Properly wears required Personal Protective Equipment.
