Manufacturer of thermoformed disposable plastic packaging seeks a full-time Die Setter / Mold Set up Technician. This is a direct hire position (no staffing agencies involved).
Job Description
A Tool Assembler/Set up Technician is a key role in our manufacturing process, responsible for the assembly, installation and first run/hand off of all changeovers on our production lines.
A Tool Assembler will:
- Follow technical instructions and set up assembly procedures to install tool in thermoforming press
- Visually inspect all tool and machine parts for wear and defect and report issues to management
- Test finished products before handoff to shift supervisor
- Troubleshoot tool/die and machine issues in manufacturing setting
- Complete setups efficiently to minimize downtime on production lines
Requirement
A successful Tool Assembler/Set up Technician will have strong mechanical skills, excellent hand-eye coordination, along with good physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy equipment and parts.
You must have a strong work ethic, references that will confirm this and understand English.
Previous experience in Set up or tool installation within a manufacturing facility is highly recommended. Experienced Mechanic or small appliance experience is helpful. Must be able to pass mechanical aptitude test.
Must have ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
