Full Job Description

Director of Procurement

We are seeking an experienced Director of Procurement to lead purchasing and inventory management operations across multiple locations. This role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, improving inventory processes, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective supply chain performance.

The Director of Procurement will oversee supplier relationships, procurement activities, and team development while working closely with cross-functional departments to align purchasing and inventory needs with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency, strong service levels, and scalability
Negotiate supplier contracts and manage vendor performance to meet quality, cost, and compliance standards
Build and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships
Oversee inventory management processes, including in-transit, consignment, excess, and slow-moving stock, to optimize inventory levels and prevent shortages or overstock
Use procurement systems and data analytics to improve forecasting, identify trends, and support decision-making
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and other departments to align procurement with business needs
Develop and standardize procurement and inventory management processes and best practices across the organization
Lead, develop, and manage the procurement team, including hiring, training, and performance management
Manage procurement budgets in alignment with financial goals

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience developing and executing procurement strategies
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
Ability to analyze data and leverage procurement technology effectively
Experience building and managing procurement budgets
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop teams and drive cross-functional collaboration

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Strong background in inventory management, purchasing, supplier relations, and cost reduction
Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred
Professional certifications such as CPSM or CPM are a plus

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
