The Sand Trap is a well-established local favorite with a great, steady customer base. We pride ourselves on delivering consistent, high-quality food in a welcoming atmosphere. We are currently looking to expand our kitchen team and are hiring two dedicated Line Cooks to join us. Job Description:

As a Line Cook at The Sand Trap, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen's daily operations. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to our exact specifications, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. We value creativity and are always open to suggestions for new daily or weekly specials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of our Line Cooks encompass a variety of kitchen tasks essential to our operation:

Food Preparation & Cooking:

You will prepare ingredients and cook menu items consistently according to The Sand Trap’s recipes and quality standards.

Morning Prep:

For openers, shifts begin at 7:30 AM. Responsibilities include setting up the kitchen for the day and prepping the salad bar to ensure it is fresh and fully stocked for service.

Station Management:

You will set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout your shift.

Specials Creation:

You will collaborate with the kitchen team to brainstorm and execute creative specials. We are always open to your culinary suggestions!

Quality Control:

You must ensure that all food is stored, handled, and prepared safely and in compliance with health and sanitation regulations.

Team Collaboration:

You will work closely with the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of food and a positive dining experience for our steady customer base.

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who possess the right mix of experience and attitude to thrive in our kitchen.

Experience:

Previous experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Attitude:

A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential. We expect consistency in both your work ethic and the food you produce.

Reliability:

Punctuality and consistancy are must..

Physical Stamina:

You must have the ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment.

Food Safety:

Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices is required.
