Herschend is seeking a motivated Laundry Attendant to help build a unique guest experience for our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate leads with heart for hospitality and has an exceptional talent for orchestrating seamless guest experiences. With equal parts integrity, creativity and operational expertise, this team member will ensure SongTeller delivers service that’s as genuine and memorable as Dolly herself.

The Laundry Attendant position offers an extraordinary opportunity to propel the arrival experience excellence and hospitality identity for Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel featuring 245 rooms, two F&B Entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton’s Museum. Personalizing all aspects of the hotels welcome moment, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the seamless, authentic, and memorable experience guests expect of SongTeller Hotel. This role will be highly rewarding for a visionary, hands-on and guest-focused Host with a demonstrated history of building strong relationships and operating with excellence while driving timeless and unforgettable guest experiences.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver a warm, genuine, and memorable welcome to every guest, embodying Southern hospitality with a touch of Dolly-inspired charm, humility, and personality.
Focus on daily laundry operations ensuring all linens, uniforms, and guest items meet luxury cleanliness and presentation standards.
Maintain strict quality control on washed, dried, and pressed items.
Manage inventory levels of linens and laundry supplies.
Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean items.
Maintain organized, clean, and safe laundry facilities
Foster a positive team culture aligned with the hotel’s values of care, pride, and hospitality
Deliver a consistent, high-quality presentation of rooms including linens, amenities, and cleanliness
Identify and report maintenance issues promptly
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, and uniforms according to hotel standards
Operate commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and pressing machines
Follow proper procedures for handling different fabric types, colors, and soil levels
Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear; rewash or report issues as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times
Monitor and replenish laundry supplies such as detergents, chemicals, and softeners
Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating machinery
Assist with inventory control by tracking linen usage and reporting shortages or losses
Ensure timely delivery of clean items to housekeeping and other departments
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient room turnover during high occupancy
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Represent the hotel’s culture of kindness, pride, and attention to detail in every room serviced
Maintain high standards at all times while on property. Including, full uniform, welcoming demeanor, no personal devices at anytime, food/beverage, and any other items as directed by senior leadership.
Collaborate with all hotel team members to ensure above and beyond service in all areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in laundry operations or housekeeping experience preferred

Strong leadership and team management skills

Knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, and fabric care techniques

Excellent attention to detail and quality standards

Ability to multitask and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle laundry loads

Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling 25–50 lbs

Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions

Comfortable working in a warm, humid environment

Understanding of safety and sanitation regulations

Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
