Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards . Your expertise in various accounting software and systems will help support our organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems.
Process payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data.
Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget reports for management review.
Assist with financial software integration, updates, and troubleshooting to optimize system performance.
Support technical accounting tasks such as double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account analysis for various projects or audits.
Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions in spreadsheets and accounting systems to ensure audit readiness.
Collaborate with teams on budgeting processes and provide insights into financial concepts to support strategic decision-making.

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role within corporate or non-profit organizations.
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, standards (including GAAP), and best practices in bookkeeping.
Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or equivalent platforms.
Strong proficiency in spreadsheets for data analysis, reporting, and account reconciliation tasks.
Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
Familiarity with payroll processing procedures and accounts payable/receivable management.
Experience working within public accounting environments or handling technical accounting responsibilities is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
