MACHINE OPERATOR

Job Description:

Nom Nom is committed to attracting and retaining high-quality talent. We provide continued training and promotion opportunities to help you move forward. This is an opportunity to join the most exciting dog food company in the role of Machine Operator. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for working with a team in a manufacturing environment to set up, maintain, and operate machines to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production. (Monday through Thurs, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM)*

What are we looking for?

Education and Professional Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Knowledge/Experience

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to bend, stand, stoop, and squat.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.

Food manufacturing experience is preferred.

Strong, verbal and written communication skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Proper operation of the assigned machine in accordance with established procedures.

Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and ensure that outputs are met.

Examine and inspect raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.

Ensure appropriate and accurate documentation of processes.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.

Maintain materials used in production processes.

Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Recommend improvements consistently, striving for efficient and effective methodologies.

Maintain departmental quality standards.

Other duties as assigned.
