2. Position Overview
As Housekeeping Room Attendant, you are responsible for creating an exceptional first impression by ensuring every guest room and suite reflects the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. You play a vital role in delivering the luxury experience guests expect at The Hermitage Hotel through meticulous attention to detail, efficiency, and genuine pride in your work.

3. Key Responsibilities
Guest Room Cleaning & Presentation
- Clean and service guest rooms and suites to luxury hotel standards.
- Make beds, replace linens, replenish amenities, and ensure each room is fully guest-ready.
- Dust, vacuum, sanitize, and detail all guest room surfaces, bathrooms, and furnishings.
- Maintain exceptional presentation and consistency throughout every room assignment.
Quality & Inspection Standards
- Conduct thorough self-inspections to ensure rooms meet hotel quality standards before completion.
- Identify maintenance concerns, damaged items, or missing amenities and report them promptly.
- Ensure all room furnishings, fixtures, and amenities are clean, organized, and properly presented.
Guest Experience & Service
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests while maintaining a warm and courteous demeanor.
- Respect guest privacy and follow all hotel procedures when entering occupied rooms.
- Support VIP arrivals and special requests with careful attention to detail.
- Handle all guest belongings with professionalism, discretion, and care.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain assigned productivity while consistently meeting luxury quality standards.
- Properly stock and organize housekeeping carts, closets, and supplies throughout each shift.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and departmental standards at all times.
- Report room status accurately to support efficient hotel operations.
Safety, Standards & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures related to equipment, chemicals, and lifting techniques.
- Maintain compliance with hotel sanitation standards and OSHA guidelines.
- Report lost and found items, safety concerns, and maintenance issues promptly.
- Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for guest privacy at all times.
4. Qualifications & Requirements
Required Experience & Professional Skills
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred; luxury hotel experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Basic English communication skills required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
