Family Assistant (Full-Time)

Overview:
A warm, faith-centered family new to Brentwood/Nolensville is searching for a loving, experienced nanny to grow alongside their family for years to come. Their last nanny was on staff for four years. Having recently relocated from Chicago, the family is excited to put down roots in Tennessee. They have three children: Daughter, age 5 (starting Kindergarten full-time), Son, age 2½ (attends preschool two mornings each week), Baby boy, 4 months who is home full-time. Mom will be returning to work in September, though she and Dad both work from home. The primary focus of this role will be caring for their infant son while confidently balancing the needs of the family as a whole.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Loving, attentive care for an infant throughout the day
Helping establish healthy routines and a consistent schedule for the baby
Caring for older siblings when they are home from school
Preparing bottles and age-appropriate meals and snacks
Packing school lunches as needed
Children's laundry
Emptying and loading the dishwasher
Tidying children's spaces and maintaining general household order between professional cleanings (Note, The family has professional cleaners every other week, so this is not a deep-cleaning role)
Light meal preparation if desired (helpful but not required)
Supporting age-appropriate play, outdoor activities, reading, and creative learning
Occasional future date nights as the children get older
About the family:
Mom treasures slow, connected mornings with her children and enjoys taking the older kids to school herself before transitioning into work between 8:00–9:00AM. She values a gradual handoff each morning and loves popping downstairs throughout the day to say hello. Their parenting style is gentle, relationship-focused, and flexible. While routines are important—especially for the baby—they aren't looking for someone who believes every moment must follow a strict schedule. Their outgoing toddler still enjoys an afternoon nap and quiet time, while their energetic oldest loves staying active and engaged. The family also has two sweet Goldendoodles, including one senior dog who is very much part of the family. The family love sports, healthy living, and gentle parenting. They're looking for someone who shares those values and wants to become a meaningful part of their family's lives.
The Ideal Candidate:
This family would love someone who:
Has extensive experience caring for both infants and toddlers
Is confident caring for multiple young children
Loves active, energetic children and can keep up physically throughout the day
Has a nurturing, warm, patient personality
Shares the family's Christian faith or is comfortable working within a Christian household
Values healthy living and a holistic approach to childcare
Is dependable, organized, and naturally proactive
Wants to build a long-term relationship with one family
Understands how to respectfully work alongside parents who are home during the day
Brings positive energy, flexibility, and emotional maturity
While driving is not initially required, the family would love someone who is open to transporting the
children after approximately six months, once everyone is comfortable.

Travel: Occasional travel opportunities may arise (next family trip anticipated in October)
Home: Approximately 5,600 square feet (6 bedrooms, 6½ bathrooms)

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
