About Us

Signature Serves & Investigations LLC is a professional process serving and legal support company based in the Nashville area. We work with law firms, attorneys, and legal departments to ensure accurate, timely service of process across Middle Tennessee. We are growing and looking for reliable, self-motivated individuals to join our network of independent contractors

About the Role

As a 1099 Independent Contractor Process Server, you will be responsible for serving legal documents — including summons, subpoenas, complaints, and other court-related paperwork — to individuals and businesses in your assigned coverage area. This is a flexible, field-based role where you set your own schedule.

Responsibilities

Serve legal documents in a timely, professional, and lawful manner
Accurately complete and submit returns of service (proof of service)
Document service attempts including dates, times, and descriptions
Upload completed returns and documentation through our case management system (ServeManager)
Communicate promptly with our office regarding status updates, non-service, and case notes
Maintain professionalism and discretion at all times in the field

Requirements

Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
No felonies or misdemeanors
Smartphone with the ability to download and use the ServeManager app
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
Ability to handle sensitive legal documents with confidentiality
Prior process serving experience preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate
Must be 18 years or older

Compensation

This is a per-serve, flat-fee position. Pay is based on the number of serves completed. Details will be discussed during the interview process.
