Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead maintenance operations, reliability engineering, asset management, and capital project execution across two beverage manufacturing facilities.

This leadership role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, operational performance, maintenance excellence, and long-term capital investment strategies that support safety, productivity, quality, capacity growth, and cost optimization. The Senior Maintenance & Reliability Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives while developing high-performing maintenance teams and standardizing best practices across both facilities.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in beverage, food, consumer products, or process manufacturing environments and has a proven track record of improving uptime, leading CAPEX projects, and building reliability-focused maintenance organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Leadership

Lead and develop maintenance teams across two manufacturing facilities.
Establish standardized maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Develop and manage annual maintenance operating and capital budgets.
Drive workforce planning, technical training, and succession development.
Implement performance metrics and accountability systems to improve maintenance execution.

Reliability & Asset Performance

Develop and execute reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies.
Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) initiatives and corrective action implementation.
Standardize preventive and predictive maintenance programs across both facilities.
Improve equipment reliability by increasing Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and reducing Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
Identify chronic equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective solutions.
Oversee CMMS utilization, maintenance planning, and spare parts strategies.

Capital Projects & Engineering Leadership

Develop and manage a multi-year capital investment roadmap for both facilities.
Identify, prioritize, and justify capital projects supporting safety, reliability, quality, efficiency, and capacity improvements.
Lead all phases of CAPEX project execution, including:
Scope development
Budgeting and cost control
Vendor and contractor management
Procurement
Installation and commissioning
Startup and project closeout
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with operational goals.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to align investments with business objectives.
Oversee equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, utility improvements, and production line expansions.
Track and report project ROI, operational improvements, and cost savings.

Beverage Manufacturing Equipment Oversight

Provide leadership and reliability support for critical production systems, including:

PLC’s
Pasteurizers
Conveyors
CIP systems
Labelers and packaging equipment
Palletizers
Boilers and steam systems
Air compressors
Chillers and refrigeration systems
Water treatment systems
Facility utilities and infrastructure

Operational Excellence

Drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Reduce unplanned downtime and improve production reliability.
Support TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to achieve production targets and operational goals.
Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects across both facilities.

Safety & Compliance

Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational discipline.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, food safety, and quality standards.
Support regulatory compliance initiatives and audit readiness.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
8+ years of maintenance and reliability experience within manufacturing environments.
10+ years of maintenance leadership experience.
Experience leading maintenance organizations in beverage, food, consumer products, or process manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning processes.
Experience implementing predictive maintenance technologies.

Preferred

Beverage manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience.
Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor EAM.
CMRP, CRE, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
Proven capital project management experience.
