THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of public and private infrastructure projects — water and wastewater systems, site development, transportation, and more — while growing your technical skills under the guidance of experienced senior engineers. This is a hands-on role with real project responsibility and a clear path for professional development.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform engineering design, analysis, and calculations for civil infrastructure projects including water/wastewater systems, stormwater, roadways, and site development
Prepare construction plans, specifications, and technical reports
Assist with project management tasks including schedule tracking, client communications, and coordination with subconsultants and contractors
Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed
Support permitting and regulatory submissions with state and federal agencies
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, and surveyors
Contribute to the preparation of proposals and scopes of work

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Required: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Preferred: 1–5 years of relevant civil engineering experience (internship experience counts)
Preferred: Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design software
Preferred: Experience with water/wastewater design or municipal infrastructure
Plus: PE licensure or active progress toward licensure
Plus: Knowledge of WV and Mid-Atlantic regulatory requirements
