Full Job Description

The Opportunity

Butchers & Bakers is looking for a hospitality-driven leader to grow and lead our private events and catering business while helping oversee daily restaurant operations.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building relationships, creating memorable guest experiences, and driving sales through genuine hospitality. The right candidate is equally comfortable closing an event inquiry, leading a busy dinner shift, supporting the team on the floor, and ensuring every guest feels taken care of.

We are not looking for a transactional event coordinator. We are looking for someone who can build lasting guest relationships, increase event and catering revenue, and become a key leader within the restaurant.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Grow Private Events + Catering

Own all private event and catering inquiries from first contact through execution
Respond quickly to leads and build strong relationships with guests throughout the planning process
Guide guests through celebrations including bridal showers, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, and special events
Confidently recommend menus, packages, upgrades, and enhancements to maximize guest experience and event revenue
Drive catering and event sales through relationship-building, follow-up, networking, and repeat business development
Create memorable experiences that turn guests into long-term clients and referral sources
Manage event details, contracts, deposits, timelines, and BEOs with strong accuracy and organization
Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure flawless event execution
Be present for key events to ensure hospitality and operational excellence

Restaurant Leadership & Operations

Support daily restaurant operations and act as a key member of the management team
Run shifts with strong floor presence and hands-on leadership
Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, and guest interaction
Assist with scheduling, onboarding, staff accountability, and operational organization
Help maintain service standards, cleanliness, pacing, and overall guest experience
Support administrative systems including tip-out tracking, reporting, and internal communication
Step in wherever needed to support the team and the business

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience in a full-service restaurant with bar service
Prior restaurant management or leadership experience required
Experience with private events, catering, banquet sales, or group dining strongly preferred
Strong hospitality instincts and the ability to build authentic guest relationships
Proven customer service and sales ability with confidence in guiding guests through options and pricing
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email
Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with active operational leadership
Team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
Professional, polished, energetic presence
Someone who takes ownership, drives results, and genuinely cares about guest experience
