Kleinfelder's Raleigh, NC office is seeking a Technician II to join our growing team.
We're looking for experienced materials testing technician with a minimum of 1 year of specific experience in materials testing to join our team supporting owners on some of the largest projects in Raleigh, NC. This position is actively engaged on construction sites and in-office, testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to the applicable codes, project plans and specifications. This role offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile jobs and gain a wealth valuable of experience.
We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic fast paced team with a client and project forward focus while advancing their career in the field of construction special inspections and materials testing.
Required Certifications include:
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
- Nuclear Gauge / Troxler
Preferred Certifications:
The ideal candidate has a couple of the preferred certifications and a willingness to pursue additional with support from supervisor and administrative staff.
- NCDOT Certifications
- ICC Special Inspector Certifications (Concrete, Masonry, Soils, etc.)
- NICET Levels 1-3 (soil, asphalt, concrete)
The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring. Must be able to use a tablet and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Must be willing to travel throughout North Carolina.
Education: Certifications and experience related to Special Inspection and Materials Testing or 4-year degree in Engineering, geology or environmental science or graduation date within one year of employment.
