Job Purpose
The Game Master enthusiastically facilitates our guests and game participants through our immersive escape room experiences. The Game Master becomes part of the immersive experience providing a fun, safe, personalized and memorable experience. The Game Master also ensures the cleanliness of facilities and proper room/equipment set up to ensure a consistent, successful experience for all guests.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for providing awesome guest and player experience
Set up and reset escape games
Monitor and support escape games in session
Enthusiastically interact with and assist guests before, during, and after games
Promptly and courteously answer phone calls and emails
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility
Consistently offer merchandise and additional escape room booking opportunities
Operate and maintain escape room equipment
Execute other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups of people and assisting in “character”
Demonstrated customer service skills through previous customer service experience
Must have attention to detail for game monitoring and preparation
Ability to understand and efficiently use the technology involved in our daily processes (booking, payment, audio/visual equipment)
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with peers, management, and customers
Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances
Ability to perform physical activities including crouching low and being in tight spaces
Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions in English
Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently under stress
Ability to use tools in order to maintain the functionality of the equipment
Ability to sit and view LED/LCD monitors for several hours without eye strain.
Ability to work and stay focused for up to 9 hours
Must have reliable transportation
Preferred
High School graduate or equivalent
Escape room gaming experience and/or interest in puzzle games or similar activities
Acting/public speaking experience
1+ years of customer service experience
Must be 18 years old
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday shifts between 12PM-10:00PM
Friday -Saturday shifts between 12PM-11:30PM
Weekend and holiday availability required
On call availability
Available to work at least 15 hours per week
Dress Code: Must wear branded House of Conundrum attire during weekends and corporate events, otherwise casual
